The winners of the “Best High School Graduates Award,” organized by the City of Oeiras, participated in a student exchange with the Dongcheng District of Beijing from September 11 to 17. This initiative, supported by OVIA and offered by the Municipality of Oeiras, aimed to reward their academic excellence.
The delegation was led by the Mayor, Isaltino Morais, the Councillor for Education, Pedro Patacho, and Senior Technician, Nuno Oliveira, and included 14 students and 2 teachers.
The exchange was part of the ongoing cooperation agreement between the two municipalities, which includes student exchange programs. The Municipality of Oeiras will also host a group of students from Dongcheng in the near future.
“This award recognizes their hard work, and dedication, and paves the way for an extraordinary future for them, as they possess the talent, ability, and ambition to succeed,” said the Mayor of Oeiras.
The program for the visit included official meetings with the Mayor of Dongcheng District, Zhou Jinxing, and visits to local companies, technology centers, and cultural landmarks.
