On June 4, as part of its mission to Hong Kong, Macau, and Hengqin, OVIA met with Well Link Bank, reinforcing the connections established in May of this year. Well Link Bank is recognized for its role in enhancing economic relations between Macau, mainland China, and the Portuguese-speaking world. It has positioned itself as a strategic partner for the internationalization of portuguese companies and for financing bilateral cooperation initiatives.
In line with this agenda, OVIA also formalized the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Association for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Macau – China and Portuguese Speaking Countries (AEIMCPSC). The core mission of this association is to promote entrepreneurship and innovation between Macau, China, and Portuguese-speaking countries, serving as a platform for connecting entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The Memorandum outlines the terms of cooperation between the two entities, aimed at facilitating the sharing of information on investment opportunities in Portugal and Macau. It also seeks to promote mutual support for companies interested in expanding internationally and to stimulate the exchange of best practices in attracting foreign investment.
The signing of this agreement highlights OVIA’s growing role in establishing strong connections between Oeiras and Asian markets, positioning the municipality as a strategic hub for innovation and international investment, with a particular focus on the Portuguese-speaking region.
