On April 8, the OVIA’s Chairman of the Board, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, participated as a speaker at a conference in Vienna, organized by the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES), the IPLI Foundation, and the Vienna School of International Studies, on the subject of “EU Strategies Towards China and East Asian Stability”.
Following the Business Mission organized by OVIA to China, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, also a former Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, addressed the topic ” The Strategy Mosaic – Trends and Transformations in EU-China Policy “.
During the conference, the topic “EU – Facilitator or Spectator? Assessing the EU’s Role in East Asian Security” was also debated by speakers from the National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan, and the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), Berlin.
