On 20 April, the President of OVIA, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, attended the official reception held in Lisbon in honour of the Chief Executive of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Dr Sam Hou Fai, in a moment of great significance for the strengthening of institutional, economic and business relations between Portugal, Macau and China.
The ceremony brought together governmental, business and institutional representatives from the various territories, in an environment marked by the deepening of bilateral cooperation and by the recognition of Portugal’s strategic role as a privileged platform connecting Europe and the Lusophone world.
OVIA’s presence at this institutional gathering reflects the growing positioning of Oeiras as an international ecosystem for innovation, technology, science and investment, reinforcing its ability to attract global partners and promote high value-added economic cooperation opportunities.
The official visit of the Macau delegation to Portugal included several economic and business promotion initiatives, highlighting the increasing interest in developing joint projects in the fields of innovation, infrastructure, healthcare, technology, energy and business internationalisation.
