On October 21, OVIA participated in the 31st edition of the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), the 2026 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (PLPEX), and the conference entitled “New Opportunities in the Blue Economy: From Science and Technology to Investment,” held as part of the economic and business cooperation initiatives taking place in Macao.
The conference was co-organized by Fórum Oceano, OVIA, the International Forum for Clean Energy (IFCE – Macao), and IGFA. It brought together an international perspective on the challenges and opportunities associated with the sustainable development of the Blue Economy and the transformation of scientific and technological knowledge into investment opportunities.
OVIA’s participation in these initiatives is aligned with its internationalization strategy for Oeiras Valley and its commitment to fostering connections between businesses, scientific institutions, investors, and international partners, with a particular focus on cooperation opportunities between Portugal, Macao, and China.
MIF and PLPEX serve as important platforms for establishing business and institutional contacts, promoting trade and strengthening ties between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
