On September 12, OVIA attended a conference organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Luohu District People’s Government, Shenzhen Luohu District Health Bureau, with the support of CCILC – Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abreu Advogados, and the Shenzhen Baldwin & Viktor Group.
The event took place at Abreu Advogados’ premises and welcomed an official delegation from Luohu who visited Portugal to promote cooperation and business opportunities in wide-ranging areas such as trade, communication, medicine, financial services, human resource exchange, cultural tourism, scientific and technological innovation, architectural planning, and integration of medical care, among others.
In addition to the speeches and presentations made by the official representatives of the Shenzhen Luohu District, Abreu Advogados, and CCILC, OVIA also took part in a meeting with several portuguese companies, CCILC, and official representatives of the Luohu District, to open up high-level communication channels to explore the Chinese market and identify collaboration/business opportunities in this robust market for OVIA member companies.
Luohu is a district located in one of China’s most vibrant zones, the Greater Bay Area, and is one of Shenzhen’s main districts, situated in the east of the city and bordering Hong Kong. It is a financial and commercial center known for its thriving trade and for being home to the Luohu Port, an important crossing point between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. With an excellent transportation infrastructure, namely the Shenzhen Railway Station, which establishes one of the most relevant rail connections between Shenzhen and the rest of China, Luohu plays a key role in the economic and cultural development of the region.
