On February 16, the Closing Session of the 1st Edition of Democracy Day alluding to the European Union took place in the Taguspark Auditorium, and OVIA´s Chairman of the Board, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, was in attendance.
The session, which started at 9.30 a.m., included rounds of fun games entitled “ValUEs that move me” from the European Parliament and a debate on the European Elections, moderated by OVIA´s Chairman of the Board, with the participation of the Head of Office of the European Parliament in Portugal, the Erasmus Student Network, the National Youth Council, and the National Federation of Youth Associations.
This initiative, aimed at secondary schools in the Municipality of Oeiras, was primarily intended to disseminate, celebrate, and reinforce democratic values that are essential to a healthy democracy in which youth participation is necessary as a guarantee of building a sustainable and promising future.
