On November 22, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, Chairman of OVIA’s Board, participated as a distinguished speaker at the 3rd edition of the “Autumn Conferences – Anadia 2024”, hosted at the Auditorium of the Bairrada Wine Museum in Anadia.
Organized by the City of Anadia in collaboration with FNWay Consulting & Innovation, the event focused on critical themes: “Attracting Labor and Social Integration” and “Attracting Business Investment by Municipalities”. The conference brought together prominent figures such as Luís Paes Antunes, Luís Mira Amaral, and Miguel Frasquilho, who explored key issues of both local and national importance.
The “Autumn Conferences” were conceived to establish Anadia as a leading hub for discussions on strategic matters. Reflecting on this year’s focus, Jorge Sampaio, Deputy Mayor of Anadia, emphasized the urgency of addressing these themes: “The topics of the Autumn Conferences are transversal to the entire country and all municipalities. It is increasingly crucial to debate these matters, especially given the current context.”
This year, the conference adopted a refined format, consolidating its program into a single day with two focused panels. This structure facilitated an engaging convergence of national and local perspectives, further positioning Anadia as a vital player in discussions on sustainable development.
The event concluded with an informal networking lunch, fostering a collaborative environment where speakers and attendees exchanged ideas and shared insights on the conference themes and broader topics of interest.
By bringing together thought leaders and policymakers, the “Autumn Conferences” continue to underscore the strategic significance of Anadia in shaping discourse on national and local development priorities.
