OVIA participated in IPIM Roadshow, strengthening ties with Macao

On April 30, OVIA took part in a significant economic cooperation event linking China, Macao, and Portuguese-speaking countries, the promotional session on Macao’s investment and business environment, held in Lisbon as part of the roadshow for the 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Exhibition (Macao).

Attending at the invitation of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), OVIA joined leading business and institutional stakeholders, reaffirming its role as a strategic connector between Macao and the Lusophone world.

The event brought together representatives from Macanese businesses, Chinese companies operating in Portugal, and key players in the blue economy, agriculture, and international trade. It served as a vital platform for building new partnerships, attracting investment, and promoting the upcoming second edition of the Economic and Trade Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Macao.

A cornerstone of OVIA’s presence at the event is its existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IPIM, signed in 2024, which established a framework for closer institutional cooperation. This agreement underscores both entities’ shared commitment to sustainable economic development, innovation, and multilateral collaboration across the Lusophone space.

OVIA’s active engagement in the roadshow reaffirms its dedication to fostering favorable investment ecosystems and driving collaborative, forward-looking solutions to common challenges faced by African and Portuguese-speaking countries.
