From June 5-18, OVIA attended a Seminar on Sino-Portuguese Cooperation in the Foreign Markets, an initiative organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China in partnership with the Shanghai Business School.
During the Seminar, which took place in Shanghai and Hangzhou, the Investment Agency established bridges and contacts with local entities and with the participating organizations. The participants attended daily lectures and discussions on government policies, perspectives, and strategies for Chinese foreign investment in Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries, and Lecturers presented several case studies on sustainable development experiences between developed and emerging countries in regional integration.
In addition, visits were made to the Alibaba Group, the Joint Chamber of Commerce for Wines and Food Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions, the Supcon Technology Group, the Shanghai Pangood Power Technology company, the Shanghai Waigaoqiao International Trade Operations Center, the AICEP – Shanghai Delegation facilities, and the “G60 Science & Technology Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta Planning Exhibition Hall”.
The seminar was attended by 13 participants from various Portuguese entities and companies based in Portugal, namely: Portugal-China SME Chamber of Commerce, ASA Lawyers, Association of Friends of the New Silk Road, Directorate-General for Economic Activities, AICEP, Oeiras Valley Investment Agency, CPLP Business Confederation, Bison Bank and Univar Solutions.
