On March 20, OVIA met with the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute as part of the visit of the Oeiras business delegation to Macao.
During the meeting, both organizations were introduced, namely their mission and common objectives. Dr. Pedro Matias, OVIA’s Vice-President, listed the activities carried out by the Investment Agency that are aligned with the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute’s objectives. The Agency and Institute agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding following discussion.
The IPIM is responsible for supporting the Chief Executive in the study and formulation of economic policy, concerning promoting foreign trade, attracting investment, developing conventions and exhibitions, and economic and commercial cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, among other foreign cooperation projects, as well as implementing measures to promote their implementation.
