On July 16, OVIA held a strategic meeting with Teltex, a Brazilian technology company specializing in public safety, civil defense, and smart city solutions. As a new member company of OVIA, Teltex participated in activities during a business mission organized by the Investment Agency to Brazil in March 2025. The mission aimed to strengthen relationships and attract innovation to the municipality of Oeiras. The Deputy Mayor of Oeiras, Francisco Rocha Gonçalves, also attended, underscoring the commitment to modernizing and enhancing urban resilience in the area.
During the meeting, advanced solutions for managing urban security, monitoring, and civil defense were discussed. Key topics included the use of real-time monitoring technologies, artificial intelligence, and analytical systems for: integrated management of public space security; monitoring and flood prevention through river level and rainfall control, which has historically impacted the Oeiras region; management and optimization of traffic flows and urban circulation; coordinated emergency response through the CETELAM command center, a state-of-the-art civil defense platform presented by Teltex.
With extensive experience in smart city projects in Brazil, Teltex proposed concrete solutions for practical application in Oeiras, aligning with the municipality’s vision of becoming a benchmark for technological innovation, safety, and quality of life.
This meeting underscores the strategic importance of the international business missions organized by OVIA, aimed at identifying investment opportunities, attracting innovation, and establishing partnerships with leading technology companies in their respective fields.
