On 7 January, OVIA held an online meeting with the French organization Mieux Entreprendre, based in the Paris region, to explore opportunities for collaboration in developing innovative support models for small businesses operating across Europe.
The meeting was attended by OVIA’s Secretary-General, Tiago Sousa Dias, and focused primarily on the Small2Scale project, which is currently under preparation by Mieux Entreprendre. The project seeks to develop and test a frugal, scalable, and adaptable support model, targeting micro and small SMEs operating in territories facing greater economic fragility.
Although the project already involves partners from France, Belgium, and Spain, Mieux Entreprendre expressed its intention to integrate a broader ecosystem perspective, strengthening the European dimension of Small2Scale and enhancing its transferability to different regional contexts.
During the meeting, potential avenues for collaboration were discussed, particularly in terms of knowledge sharing, contributions to the methodological design of the support model, and connections with local and regional ecosystems. OVIA’s experience in entrepreneurship support, organizational capacity-building, and facilitating territorial networks was identified as a valuable asset for strengthening the project.
This meeting represented a first moment of strategic alignment, paving the way for future collaboration aimed at enhancing the resilience of small businesses, promoting inclusive entrepreneurship, and supporting balanced territorial development at the European level.
