OVIA integrated a Business Mission to China, to the Dongcheng District of Beijing, from September 10 to 17, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Memorandum of Understanding between Oeiras and Dongcheng.
This official visit was attended by the Chairman of the Board and Vice-President of OVIA, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz and Pedro Matias, respectively, as well as the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Oeiras, Francisco Rocha Gonçalves, and OVIA’s Members, such as the Teixeira Duarte Group and CSCEC – China Construction Portugal, companies that carried out meetings with other local entities within the scope of their area over the course of a week.
During this mission, the delegation attended meetings with the President and Secretary of the Dongcheng District, visited the Portuguese Ambassador to China, and visited science and technology parks, as well as historical and cultural landmarks in Dongcheng.
OVIA also participated in the 2023 Beijing Cultural Forum, an event under the theme “Inheriting Culture and Promoting Exchange and Cooperation” which was attended by national and international members of state, leaders of the Beijing Municipality, and other participants from the arts, cinematography, literature and culture sectors in general, who gave body and voice to numerous speeches and performances of high artistic value, in a cultural showcase that took place from September 14 to 15 in Beijing.
