OVIA and CFTC discuss opportunities for companies at the Canton Fair

On March 12, OVIA met with a delegation from the China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC), the organizer of the prestigious Canton Fair, to discuss opportunities for member companies to participate in this internationally renowned event. The meeting was facilitated by OVIA´s institutional partner Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC), Bernardo Mendia, and was attended by OVIA’s Secretary-General, Tiago Sousa Dias, and CFTC representatives Saskia Zeng, Shirley Zhou, and Amber Huang, discussed the advantages and benefits of including OVIA member companies in the fair’s International Pavilion.

The CFTC delegation reinforced its commitment to supporting Portuguese exhibitors and highlighted the Canton Fair’s importance as a gateway to the Chinese market. The meeting also reinforced the importance of collaboration between OVIA and the CFTC to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies and stimulate the economic growth of Oeiras and Portugal.

The Canton Fair is China’s largest multi-sector fair and one of the most important trade events in the world, providing a unique platform for companies looking to expand their presence in the Asian market.
