On October 14, OVIA, in partnership with the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC), co-organized a visit to Lagoas Park, an OVIA member organization, for a delegation of representatives from Macao working in higher education, talent development, and public administration in the fields of education and youth affairs.
The delegation included representatives from Macao’s academic institutions, namely the University of Macau, Macao Polytechnic University, Macau University of Science and Technology, and the University of Saint Joseph, as well as members of the Talent Development Committee and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of Macao.
Participants included academic leaders and researchers working in medicine, applied sciences, and intelligent systems engineering, reflecting the delegation’s interest in learning about innovation, technology, and research and development ecosystems.
The delegation was welcomed by Frederico Romão, Director of Lagoas Park, and Xavier Ferreira, Operating Manager. OVIA was represented by its Secretary-General, Tiago Sousa Dias.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase Lagoas Park as a leading business hub, highlighting its corporate ecosystem and the potential for collaboration among companies, academic institutions, and organizations focused on research and innovation.
The initiative forms part of the institutional cooperation between OVIA and CCILC, aimed at strengthening Oeiras’s connections with international partners and fostering collaboration in education, scientific research, technological innovation, and business development.
