A visit to Oeiras by His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan to Portugal and his entourage was accompanied by OVIA on October 4.
Following the Mayor of Oeiras’ reception for the Embassy of Japan, a visit and meeting took place at Taguspark – Knowledge City. Professor Eduardo Correia, CEO of Taguspark, and Tiago Sousa Dias, Secretary-General of OVIA then presented both organizations to all attendees.
After both presentations and a discussion about Taguspark and OVIA and the possibilities to explore venues for cooperation between Portugal and Japan, the Japanese delegation visited the Temple of Poetry in Poets’ Park.
A tasting of Villa Oeiras wine and a presentation of the brand and its history followed at the Marquês de Pombal Palace Winery.
After the wine tasting, the Japanese delegation was received by the Deputy Mayor of Oeiras at the Marquês de Pombal Palace for lunch. During lunch, the delegation discussed the potential for investment between the two countries as well as the work carried out by the Municipality and the Embassy of Japan to Portugal.
