On August 27, OVIA welcomed a delegation from Qinhuai District, Nanjing, to Oeiras, strengthening ties between Portugal and one of the important economic and business hubs of Jiangsu Province.
The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between OVIA and the Daguanglu Subdistrict Office of the People’s Government of Qinhuai District, Nanjing City.
The delegation included Xian Min, Vice-President of the People’s Government of Qinhuai District; Xi Weiwei, Secretary of the General Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qinhuai District; as well as representatives from the Commerce Department and the Investment Promotion Agency. The delegation also included the Executive President of the Spanish-Chinese Association for Trade Promotion in Spain and the President of the China-Spain Economic Committee.
The memorandum establishes a foundation for cooperation in areas including investment and business attraction, technological innovation, industrial development, economic and trade exchanges, and talent mobility.
