Oeiras prepares a new edition of the Bluetech Ocean Forum with renewed ambition

On 19 January, OVIA held a working meeting dedicated to the follow-up of the preparations for the next edition of the Oeiras Bluetech Ocean Forum, which will take place in Oeiras in 2026.

This meeting forms part of the consolidation process of an initiative that has established itself as an international reference platform in the fields of the blue economy, technological innovation and maritime sustainability, building on the trajectory launched in 2025, when the first two editions of the Forum were held in Oeiras and Macau.

OVIA was actively involved in both the organisation and participation of the previous editions, reinforcing Oeiras’ positioning as a territory well suited to hosting and promoting international events of high strategic value, with economic, institutional and technological impact.

The preparation of the 2026 edition is taking place within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between OVIA and Fórum Oceano, reflecting an ongoing and structured cooperation between the two entities in promoting the blue economy and strengthening international links, particularly along the Europe–Asia axis.

This phase of work confirms that the next edition of the Oeiras Bluetech Ocean Forum is already under development, reinforcing the ambition to consolidate Oeiras as a relevant hub for international dialogue and cooperation in the fields of energy transition, maritime innovation and sustainable development.
