On June 25, OVIA welcomed Nuno Veríssimo, the representative of Top Builders Group, to its premises. Top Builders Goup is a business group based in the Macau Special Administrative Region that is well-regarded in the real estate investment and urban development sector. The meeting was held between Tiago Sousa Dias, the Secretary General of OVIA, and Veríssimo, focusing on identifying specific investment opportunities in the municipality of Oeiras.
This meeting is part of OVIA’s proactive economic diplomacy strategy, which aims to strengthen relations with Asian investors. This effort has gained momentum following business and institutional missions to Macau in March 2024 and June 2025. These trips aimed to promote Oeiras as a prime location in Portugal for foreign investment, emphasizing its innovation ecosystem, high-quality infrastructure, and the vibrancy of the local real estate market.
Top Builders Group expressed a strong interest in getting to know Oeiras better as an expanding urban hub, noting the strategic projects currently underway and the area’s attractiveness for segments such as quality housing, urban regeneration, and mixed-use developments. During the meeting, potential development areas were analyzed, and the support instruments and institutional coordination provided by OVIA to investors were discussed.
