Oeiras delegation welcomed by the Mayor of Limerick

As part of the business mission to Ireland organized by OVIA, the Oeiras delegation was received by the Mayor of Limerick City and County Council, John Moran, at an institutional meeting held on April 2, at the City Hall building in Merchants Quay.

The delegation, made up of the Mayor of Oeiras, Isaltino Morais, the Board of Directors of OVIA, Member companies of the Investment Agency, as well as OVIA’s Representative in the United Kingdom, met with the Mayor of Limerick in an atmosphere marked by a spirit of institutional cooperation and openness to dialogue.

During the meeting, experiences and strategies for territorial development, urban innovation, mobility, and attracting investment were shared, with a special focus on the role of local authorities in promoting sustainable and competitive ecosystems.

Presentations highlighted sustainable mobility policies and practices in Limerick, showcasing innovative and integrated solutions that transformed how citizens navigate the city and the region.

Limerick’s economic development strategy was also presented, highlighting urban revitalization projects, investment incentives, and measures to support entrepreneurship and internationalization. The sharing of these best practices was particularly relevant for the delegation members, as it offered new perspectives on how to enhance territories through innovative and collaborative public policies.

This institutional meeting not only strengthened the bonds of cooperation between Oeiras and Limerick but also highlighted the importance of exchanging knowledge and experiences between territories with aligned strategic visions.
