The OVIA Mission to China continued on October 21 with an institutional visit to the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), one of Asia’s most dynamic and internationally recognized universities, known for its strong focus on research, innovation, and industry collaboration.
The Oeiras Valley Investment Agency (OVIA) delegation was welcomed by Aliana Leong, Vice-President of MUST, for a meeting centered on fostering academic, scientific, and technological cooperation, particularly through partnerships connecting universities, enterprises, and innovation hubs in Oeiras, Macau, and the broader Portuguese-speaking world.
The session began with the presentation of both MUST and OVIA, followed by a discussion on best practices for integrating higher education and innovation ecosystems, a field where Oeiras has demonstrated strong leadership through its advanced networks of universities and science parks.
Through this engagement, OVIA reaffirmed its commitment to bridging science, talent, and investment, and to positioning the Oeiras Valley as a natural partner for leading universities and innovation centers across the Asia-Pacific region.
