Green Tech in China: Opportunities, Realities, and Myths

On May 18, OVIA attended a workshop organized by the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the EU SME Centre. The event took place at Haitong Bank headquarters, an entity that supported this workshop.

Jiawei Wang, a representative of the EU SME Centre, and Johnny Browaeys, Vice-President of the European Chamber Carbon Working Group, presented the session. The topic of discussion was the green technology market in China: which characteristics are valued, and the existing opportunities and ways Portuguese and European companies may capitalize on Chinese investment in this sector.

As a result of this dynamic and interactive workshop, participants gained a deeper understanding of the potential of the Chinese green tech sector and the regulatory framework for the Chinese market, as well as the importance of cultural and social aspects in establishing successful partnerships in China and with Chinese companies.
