On November 11, at the invitation of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Portugal, Mr. Martin Pohl, OVIA took part in the “Czech Startup Night 2024” networking event in Lisbon.
This was an event organized by the Czech Embassy in partnership with the investment agency CzechInvest, which sought to bring together the various Czech startups present at the Web Summit, and which was attended by OVIA’s Secretary General, Tiago Sousa Dias, ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, and the Chamber of Commerce Portugal – Czech Republic, as well as Web Summit organizers and representatives.
During the event, several start-ups presented their companies and pitched their businesses, namely the following:

- My Paper Work – a platform that facilitates the management of paperwork for individuals who are in the process of moving to another country, using artificial intelligence to fill in forms automatically and guiding users through processes such as registering an address, obtaining work permits, and health insurance. - Kanbu AI – an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate customer service and improve the user experience that integrates various data from sources such as websites, PDFs, and APIs to provide fast and personalized responses, supporting multiple languages. (https://kanbu.ai/)
- Carl For Social – a platform created for influencers, content creators, and entrepreneurs who want to optimize their social media presence, offering a data analysis tool that provides personalized “insights” to improve the performance of posts, videos, and stories on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
