On April 30, OVIA’s Secretary-General Tiago Sousa Dias and OVIA’s Representative in China, Dr. Li Kang, received a delegation at the agency’s headquarters led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Committee (CCPIT Guangzhou), one of China’s most important institutions for the promotion of international trade and investment.

The delegation was led by CCPIT Guangzhou President Dr. Chen Simin and included institutional and business representatives from the real estate, international legal services, industrial park management, food industry, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology sectors.

The main objective of the meeting was to establish institutional cooperation between OVIA and CCPIT Guangzhou, promoting future investment opportunities, business internationalization, and joint projects between Oeiras Valley, Guangzhou, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

During the session, OVIA presented Oeiras’ innovation, science, technology, and investment ecosystem, emphasizing the municipality’s strategic position as a European platform for international companies seeking to develop operations in European and Lusophone markets.
