On June 3, OVIA held a meeting with China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), which is one of the world’s largest construction companies and a company member of OVIA.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss developments in the group’s presence in Portugal, particularly the ongoing project in Oeiras, in partnership with Teixeira Duarte, another OVIA company member. This collaboration between the leading portuguese and chinese companies highlights the increasing significance of Oeiras as a destination for strategic investment and international collaboration.
OVIA has actively facilitated this process by promoting inter-institutional dialogue, supporting investor integration and oversight, and positioning the local environment as a competitive and secure platform for business cooperation between Portugal and China.
During the meeting, participants explored additional investment opportunities in Oeiras and discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the two business groups. They also considered China Construction’s involvement in future urban and infrastructure development projects in Portugal.
This meeting underscores OVIA’s mission to attract qualified investment, foster synergies among its members, and establish Oeiras as a strategic hub for innovation, engineering, and business internationalization in the Euro-Chinese region.
