OVIA and IPIM signed a Cooperation Protocol in Oeiras after a business mission to China

On May 2, OVIA hosted a business delegation from Macau at Taguspark, organized by IPIM – Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, following the business mission led by the Investment Agency to the Macau SAR in March.

The event took place at the Science and Technology Park, and its CEO, Prof. Eduardo Correia, was in attendance and gave a presentation and guided tour of the park to the delight of all the participants. OVIA member companies were also in attendance.

During this visit by the delegation, which attended several meetings and visits around the country, namely to the 40th edition of OVIBEJA, the Portuguese and Chinese markets and business environments were discussed in the areas of the participating companies and associations, as well as highlighting the efforts underway following OVIA’s meetings in Macau and China with various companies and entities.

After presentations of Taguspark and Oeiras, by the Chairman of OVIA’s Board of Directors, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, the Investment Agency and IPIM signed a Cooperation Protocol aimed at deepening proximity communications and commercial exchanges, increasing areas of cooperation and establishing channels of communication, mutual benefits, “win-win”, scalability and coordinated development.

In addition to the President of IPIM, Dr. Vincent U, the delegation included representatives from the Macau Exporters and Importers Association, the International Trade Association for the Lusophone Markets, the Macau Suppliers Union Association, the Sino-Lusophone Industry and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association (Macau), the Macau Digital Integration Association, the Tong Peng International Investment Company, Ltd., and other companies from the retail sector.
