On October 23, OVIA attended the networking reception “Macao Lusophone Connections,” held at the Macau Military Club and organized by the Macao Delegation of the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC).
The event brought together representatives of Portuguese and Chinese organizations, as well as other stakeholders connected to the Portuguese-speaking world, providing an opportunity for dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the development of new institutional and business contacts.
Among the organizations represented was Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU), a member of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Group, with a longstanding presence in Macao and an important role in fostering financial and business ties between China, Portugal, and Portuguese-speaking countries. Its participation highlighted the importance of connecting the financial sector with businesses and institutions involved in international expansion and economic cooperation.
Macao occupies a unique position as a platform for relations between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, combining a distinctive historical and cultural identity with a growing role in international economic cooperation, trade, and investment.
In this context, networking initiatives such as this one play an important role in bringing organizations together, fostering trusted relationships, and creating opportunities to identify shared interests and areas for future cooperation.
