On October 22, as part of OVIA’s institutional mission to Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, the delegation met with Professor Rui Martins, Vice Rector of the University of Macau (UMAC).
The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and explore possibilities for closer ties between the University of Macau and Oeiras Valley’s ecosystem of science, technology, research, and innovation.
Collaboration between universities, research centers, businesses, and investment promotion organizations is essential to fostering knowledge transfer, developing applied research projects, and creating opportunities for new international partnerships.
In this context, OVIA sought to strengthen its dialogue with the University of Macau, with a view to identifying areas of shared interest and potential opportunities for collaboration that could bring together academic institutions, researchers, and businesses from both regions.
The meeting was part of the mission’s broader program of institutional engagements, aimed at strengthening ties between Oeiras Valley and key hubs of knowledge, innovation, and economic development in the region.
