On August 26, OVIA Secretary-General Tiago Sousa Dias met in Torres Vedras with Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Torres Vedras, Diogo Guia, continuing the work initiated through the cooperation protocol signed between the Municipality of Torres Vedras and OVIA on July 7, 2026.
The meeting helped identify the next steps toward putting the partnership into practice and also included visits to companies in the municipality, with particular attention to the cultural, technology, and blue economy sectors, including Blue Oasis, an ocean technology company that develops deep-tech solutions to accelerate ocean protection and sustainability.
With more than 20 kilometers of coastline, Torres Vedras has significant potential for the development of the blue economy, complemented by a diverse business ecosystem and opportunities for innovation and internationalization.
OVIA and the Municipality of Torres Vedras are therefore reaffirming their commitment to turning institutional cooperation into concrete projects and opportunities for the territory and its companies.
