On 23 June, the President of OVIA, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, took part in the conference and discussion “Portugal’s Role in the Global Context”, organized by Turismo de Portugal in partnership with AESE Business School.
The conference provided an opportunity to reflect on the geopolitical, economic and diplomatic challenges shaping Portugal’s international position, highlighting the country’s ability to strengthen its competitiveness in an increasingly demanding global environment.
The session addressed topics including economic diplomacy, internationalization, investment attraction and the strategic role of cities and territories in creating value.
In this context, Oeiras Valley was presented by Ambassador António Martins da Cruz as an example of an effective territorial strategy based on innovation, knowledge, science and international cooperation, demonstrating how these drivers can contribute to strengthening Portugal’s competitiveness and positioning Oeiras as one of the country’s leading hubs for technological investment, entrepreneurship and economic development.
The participation of OVIA’s Chairman reaffirms the Investment Agency’s commitment to promoting Oeiras as a leading destination for international companies, investors and institutions.
