On April 28, OVIA took part in working meetings of the recently created Invest Center, with the presence of OVIA’s President, Ambassador António Martins da Cruz, and Secretary-General Tiago Sousa Dias.
The meetings were held with the Mayors of Figueiró dos Vinhos, Jorge Abreu, and Penela, Eduardo Santos, with the aim of presenting the economic potential, development strategies, and investment opportunities of their respective municipalities.
The Invest Center emerges as a new institutional cooperation platform focused on territorial promotion, investment attraction, and the creation of synergies between municipalities, companies, and strategic entities, contributing to regional economic development and the enhancement of territories.
During the meetings, OVIA presented the investment attraction and retention model developed in Oeiras Valley, highlighting policies on innovation, internationalization, collaboration between science and business, as well as the creation of ecosystems conducive to qualified investment and technological development.
The meetings also facilitated the exchange of experiences and best practices between the different territories, reinforcing institutional dialogue and identifying future opportunities for economic and business cooperation.
