OVIA took part in the “Networking Breakfast Reception” organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Lisbon and the Hungarian Innovation Agency, held on November 11 at the Embassy’s headquarters. The event was part of the official parallel programme of Web Summit 2025, bringing together innovative companies, diplomatic representatives and key actors from the European technology ecosystem.
The reception featured a pitching session with ten high-potential Hungarian start-ups presenting emerging technological solutions in areas such as digitalisation, cybersecurity, advanced logistics, circular economy and enterprise productivity tools.
OVIA, represented by its Secretary-General, Tiago Sousa Dias, reaffirmed Oeiras Valley’s commitment to international cooperation and to its active integration within European innovation and entrepreneurship networks. The participation strengthened dialogue with the Embassy of Hungary, the Hungarian Innovation Agency and several technology companies, identifying potential areas for collaboration, namely in soft-landing programmes, business exchange initiatives and the attraction of qualified foreign investment.
The event further highlighted Portugal’s growing role as a key platform within the European innovation landscape, benefiting from the presence of international delegations attending Web Summit. OVIA will continue to promote opportunities that connect Oeiras Valley with leading global technology hubs, reinforcing the municipality’s position as a premier destination for science, technology and high-value investment.
