OVIA, represented by its Secretary-General, Tiago Sousa Dias, took part in the “Bohemian Start-up Pitch 2025”, an event organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Portugal, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the CzechInvest agency. The initiative took place at the Hotel Tivoli Oriente, on 10 November, in the context of the official opening of Web Summit 2025.
The meeting brought together high-potential Czech start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors, incubator managers and institutional representatives from both countries, with the aim of deepening knowledge of the Czech innovation ecosystem and promoting new opportunities for technological and business cooperation with Portugal.
OVIA’s participation reinforces its commitment to the internationalisation of Oeiras’ innovation ecosystem, as well as to the creation of strategic bridges between European technology hubs. The “Bohemian Start-up Pitch” stood out for presenting smart solutions in the areas of technology, sustainability, digitalisation and Industry 4.0, fields that align directly with the strategic priorities of Oeiras Valley.
Throughout the event, Tiago Sousa Dias held several relevant institutional exchanges, particularly with representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and CzechInvest officials, exploring potential synergies for future joint initiatives.
OVIA’s participation in this event highlights the growing relevance of Oeiras as a territory of excellence for start-ups, innovation and technological investment, positioning the municipality within the main European dynamics of scientific and economic development.
