On May 9, OVIA hosted an exclusive luncheon at the historic Wine Cellar of the Palácio do Marquês in Oeiras, bringing together members of the Clube de Belas and several influential figures from the Portuguese business and economic landscape.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Oeiras, Isaltino Morais, and the Deputy Mayor, Francisco Rocha Gonçalves. Among the distinguished guests were entrepreneurs, investors, economic journalists, academics, executives, and other prominent personalities.
During the luncheon, Mayor Isaltino Morais delivered an inspiring speech reflecting on Oeiras’ past achievements and its promising future. He also shared best practices observed abroad, particularly in Ireland, which he recently visited on a business mission organized by OVIA in March.
Guests were invited to enjoy a tasting of Villa Oeiras, the municipality’s own wine – a unique distinction, as Oeiras is the only municipality in Portugal that produces and owns its own wine brand.
This event marked an important milestone for the municipality, fostering connections among key business leaders while celebrating Oeiras’ rich heritage and development potential.
By organizing this luncheon, OVIA reaffirms its role as a driving force behind the local economy, creating opportunities to forge partnerships and attract investment for the benefit of Oeiras and Portugal.
