On April 7, the Oeiras Valley Investment Agency (OVIA) hosted an exclusive Business Safari, welcoming a delegation from SEBRAE (Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas). As one of Latin America’s leading institutions in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, SEBRAE’s visit to Portugal marked a meaningful step in strengthening international ties within the innovation and business landscapes.
This initiative was developed at the request of the NOVA School of Business and Economics, which invited OVIA to design a program of high-impact technical visits to companies within the Oeiras Valley, particularly OVIA’s member organizations. The goal was to offer the Brazilian delegation a hands-on, immersive experience of the entrepreneurial energy and innovation capacity that defines Oeiras.
The Safari began at the International Sharing School (Sharing Foundation) in Porto Salvo, where participants discovered a pioneering educational model that embraces multiculturalism and fosters global leadership from an early age.
The second stop was at the ISQ – Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade, a global reference in engineering, certification, training, and innovation. The delegation engaged with advanced technological solutions developed for industry and gained insight into ISQ’s strategic contributions to Portugal’s competitiveness on the international stage.
The journey concluded with a visit to Unipartner IT Services, a company specializing in digital transformation and a proud member of the OVIA network. Here, the group explored cutting-edge consultancy solutions with cross-sectoral impact and discussed pathways for collaborative innovation in a globalized digital economy.
Comprising senior leaders in entrepreneurship education and innovation, the SEBRAE delegation expressed keen interest in the strategies, best practices, and collaborative models encountered throughout the day. The experience served not only to inspire new perspectives but also to foster potential future partnerships between Brazilian and Portuguese stakeholders.
